For three weeks from 3rd October you’ll learn about:

• Simple formats and scripts
• Duration and frequency
• Choosing a name and creating simple artwork
• Finding royalty-free music
• Equipment for all budgets 
• How to record at home
• Presenting with confidence
• Editing basics (and where to find affordable support)
• Creating a hosting platform
• Uploading your podcast and getting it on Apple, Spotify & Google

• Zoom sessions twice a week (10 am Tuesdays and 12 pm Fridays)

Suzi Dale (co-founder of Story Publishing) and Julie-Anna Needham (founder of Decibel Podcasts) are highly experienced podcast producers and journalists who met whilst working for Radio 1’s Newsbeat.

Suzi's recent work includes the  #Justbloodypostit podcast for Helen Perry, which has been regularly featured in the top 10 UK marketing podcasts and is now in Series 5. Production and sound design for Armchair Adventures, which won a British Podcast Award this year in the Best Family podcast category, as well as ‘best podcast’ at the MPA Inspiration Awards 2021.

Julie-Anna is the presenter of the weekly international business podcast, Dealcast. She's the producer of a number of branded podcasts for major clients including an award-winning series for a major high-street bank. She previously worked as a journalist for the BBC and Sky News.
